If its not infected but still hurts bad then maybe you've damaged a nerve or something? Keep the area clean & use thermal therapy socks to improve circulation for better healing. U could also ask for an xray to see if there's still something stuck in there. If it's been prodded a lot & really traumatised then maybe it just needs lots of rest & TLC.
